Fishing on the Aripuanã River and its smaller tributaries is very suitable for Fly Fishing.
This fishing becomes more effective in the months of higher waters in the tributaries (Buiuçu, Paxiúba and Guariba) and with lower waters in the Aripuanã River.
The fish that can be caught are: Matrinxã, Jatuarana, Pacus of various species, Bicudas, Tucunarés, Jacundás, Apapás, Cachorras, Araris, etc.

Fast Action Stick number 8 and 10 with Floating, Intermediate and Sinking lines.
For fishing with dry flies we recommend terrestrials such as: imitations of locusts, crickets, spiders, cicadas, tree frogs, small mice, small imitations of floating fruits, in addition to small poppers, divers and sliders.
For middle water and bottom streamer such as: Clouser Minnow, EP Fiber, Lefty Deceiver, Snake Fly, Seaducer, Small Spoons and Small Spinners work very well.
