Bird Watching
Bird watching is a leisure activity that also contributes to the conservation of natural environments and environmental and scientific education. It is a sustainable activity that aims to contemplate birds in their natural habitat, without interfering with their behavior or their environment. Birdwatching can be practiced by people of any age, in groups or individually, it is fun, exciting, and encourages people to have more contact with nature and contemplate the beauty of the forest.
Through this practice, Pousada PiraAçu aims to keep the forest standing and at the same time carry out ecotourism activities, in addition to sport fishing, in the south of Amazonas, in an area rich in biodiversity. Daily activities include interpretive trails through the forest led by experienced guides, bird watching walks and boat trips.
In the surroundings of the Pousada, numerous Brazilian birds can be observed, among them the Harpy Eagle, Urumutum, Garbes Parrot, Green-backed Jacamim, Rondônia Curved-billed Woodcreeper, Amazonian Striated Hornbill, Plumed Hawk and Fire-Glow Hummingbird. ;
