Founded in 2011 with a concept totally focused on sport fishing and ecological tourism, Pousada PiraAçu is located in the south of the state of Amazonas, on the Aripuanã River, close to one of the largest ecological reserves in the state, belonging to the municipality of Apuí-AM.

We have a sport fishing structure with a service capacity for 20 people, consisting of 05 double apartments and 02 quadruple apartments. The structure also has 01 VIP Chalet: (suite, living room, mezzanine with bedroom, TV and minibar). Our restaurant is air-conditioned, has Wi-fi, TV and satellite phone.

Inserted in an intact region where few sport fishermen have ever been; rivers and lakes with a very large diversity of leather and scale fish, our fishing itinerary consists of the following structures:

Main river: Aripuanã.
Secondary rivers: Paxiúba, Buiuçu and Guariba.
Lagos: Guariba I and Guariba II.

Fishing seasons:

- Flood period: January to May

Leather fish - Piraíba, Pirarara, Cachara, Barbado, Jundiá, Jaú etc.

Scale fish - Pirapitinga, Tambaqui, Cachorra, Curvina (January, February and March, depends on the fall of native fruits). Apapá, Matrinxã, Jatuarana, Cachorra, Curvina (March, April, May and June), etc.

- Period of drought: June to November

Leather fish - Pirarara, Piraíba, Cachara, Barbado, Jundiá, etc.

Scale fish - Tucunaré, Aruanã, Cachorra (June to December). Tambaqui, Jatuarana and Pirapitinga (October and November), etc.
